Better Days
05:49
|
|||
Season change and so does time
So you’ll never hear this rhyme
The same way again
So listen close my friends
You’ve known me since I was young
Running through the fields for fun
Watching me grow strong
Putting all my heart in song
Helping me along
It was your love the kept me going on
I know someday you won’t be here
Since I was young it’s been my fear
That someday you’ll be gone
Oh but soon in time we’ll all be gone
It is my life to build
A home where all your love can fill
Until the end of my days
Love
Time slows down, slows down
Way beyond the tick tick, tick tock, tick tock
And moments grow and grow
And they slide between the arms of your clock
And love, like a water well will fill up your cup
The Lord has brought you to this place
And by grace provided space
To which you can return
If you will practice what you learn
Let the candle burn
Unending love and light you earn
If you can let go of your ways
You will soon see better days
Your ways are blocking you
And they’re leading you away from you
Cast off what you don’t need
And you will start to pick up speed
Season change and so does time

Rainstorm
05:00
|
|||
Sun’s so hot its screaming from the sky
Air’s so thin your mouth is parched and dry
Thirsty for the rain, thirsty for the wind
Thirsty for the feel of water on your skin
Years ago this land was fertile ground
Grass and trees and flowers all around
But time went by and things did change
Oh we think it’s strange when things don’t stay the same
But they never have and this will never change
So you get down on your knees and close your eyes
Praying to the heavens and the skies
To bring the love and healing that you need
And you sit and wait and listen to the breeze
The light gets dim and rain clouds now appear
You can feel the air you know a storm is near
Lightning bolts are flashing across the sky
And you know that soon the earth will not be dry
So you lay down on the ground mouth open wide
To let the cool water inside
Can you feel it from your soul out to your skin
Let the healing begin

Just Another Day
03:48
|
|||
Just another day
Another chance to make a difference anyway I can
I did alright, I did ok
Tomorrow is another day
I’ll try again
And oh, change can be so slow
But before you know
You’re further than where you began
And oh, just gotta take it slow
But it’s hard to do, I know
You struggle and you strain too much
You’ve lost your sight, you’re out of touch
Just let it go
You don’t have to try that hard
Just soften now let down your guard
The signs show the way
And oh, change can seem so slow
But this is how we grow
It’s been this way since you began
And oh, what hurts might help you grow
But it’s hard to see, I know
And can you see the little steps
You’ve taken just to get to where you are right now
One and one and two and two
Will add up soon to something new
I promise you
And oh, just a little more to go
See how much you’ve grown
It’s much more than when you began
Cause oh, the pain it helped you grow
But it’s hard to see, I know
Just another day
Now close your eyes
Across your bed you lay
It’s time to dream
Dream about a brighter day
Come what may along the way
You’re learning
Now
